Bug Dance is an adventure game developed for the PC platform, with cartoonish characters and the environment. The story follows the player playing as a caterpillar journalist who tries to collect as many as great photos of dancing bugs -- ants, bees, ladybugs and so on -- for the newspaper column.
In the game, there are various side quests needed to be accomplished before bugs would agree to make dance moves. In the end, a newspaper would be generated featuring photos taken through controllable angles by the player.
This is a collaborative project I designed and developed with William Enders. I focused on programming the gameplay mechanics, a choice-based conversation system, and designing UI layout. My work also includes writing and designing the overall narrative system and events and creating assets for characters, UI elements and the environment.
